About Us

Owasso Community Theatre Company, created in the summer of 2002 by a group of theatre enthusiasts, provides a local community theatre venue. Board of Governor elections occurred in August 2003 among the founding members.

In September 2004, OCTC produced William Inge’s Picnic as its premiere production. Since that first show, OCT has incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and has produced a variety of theatrical fare including plays, musicals, and talent shows.

Three of our marketing entries into the 2006 Oklahoma Community Theatre Festival were awarded first place honors: website design, t-shirt design, and newsletter design.

We rehearse and perform in a variety of venues in the Owasso area, including the Mary Glass Performing Arts Center at Owasso High School, Rejoice Church, and various Owasso Public Schools. Unfortunately, our locations and schedules are frequently changing and are dependent on the availability of each venue. We truly appreciate the patience of our Casts, Crews, and Patrons and we strongly encourage all those interested in OCTC to subscribe to the newsletter for updates. Plans are underway for securing a permanent location for the educational and performance activities of Owasso Community Theatre Company in the near future.
